More than $129,000 in Christmas Cash was spent with Hillsboro Business Association member stores and businesses in 2017.
The two community banks involved in the 2017 interest-free loan promotion — Dakota Heritage Bank and The Goose River Bank — processed 127 loan applications totaling $117,550.
Hillsboro Economic Development’s contribution amounted to $11,755, or 10 percent of the loan amounts approved by the two Hillsboro banks.
Together, the Christmas Cash loans plus HEDC’s offer of free money generated $129,305.
